Today I’m thrilled to introduce you to my friend and colleague, Todd Doughty. Todd is Senior Vice President of Publicity and Communications for the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group and author of Little Pieces of Hope: Happy-Making Things In A Difficult World. I first met him twelve years ago when he was assigned as publicist for my debut novel, The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress. We got along splendidly and he has managed the publicity campaigns for most of the novels I’ve written since. Todd is a legend in publishing and has worked with some of the biggest names to grace your bookshelf. Not the least of which is Pat Conroy. So I invited him to share a few of his favorite Conroy stories with us as we wrap up our discussion of Tell Me A Story this month.
