What a great first podcast! I'm excited to come along for the ride. I wasn't a part of SheReads, sad I missed the fun. ;-) I have read all of Ariel's books and have loved each one, but The Frozen River - oh my goodness. I devoured it and will probably read it again. Martha and Ephraim's love story is so tender and calming. It reminded me a lot of my own marriage, which is almost 35 years strong. It just gets better. And you're right, we are lucky women who found a man who, after all these years, still thinks we're as beautiful now as the day we met. Thank you for writing about a wonderful, interesting woman.

Thanks for being here! She Reads *was* fun-- and we will always be grateful for that experience. But in a way I think Ariel and I are even more excited about this new venture. This time we are able to do it with some differences we wanted back then, with the aid of better technology than we had, and with the invaluable help from Abby. We hope you'll keep coming back!

I knew when I was reading it that this was a BIG book! Just wonderful and actually our world is craving the home this story can represent.

just discovered you but I'll be back. Obviously a great friendship and I truly appreciated Ariel's comments about why she wrote the book and the reactions she's getting from readers. I'll be reading Frozen River but also tuning back in to hear your future reading recommendations as well. (and as a podcast host myself for WFWA, let me assure you both did just fine - authenticity comes through and that's what's important.

You really captured out intent with this comment-- to just be our authentic, flawed selves. We won't always say it right, or even say the right things. But we intend to keep showing up and trying again. And celebrating the times we do get it right! Thank you for being here!

Loved this new podcast! I am over halfway through The Frozen River and loving it. Thank you for not giving too much away. I bought this book for the church library I run as soon as I could. Wow! I can’t wait to add my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to GoodReads, and pick this as a book club read in 2024. 👏
